Hugo is our smallest conference room, perfect for a small group or for anyone who needs a breakout room as a complement to one of our larger conference rooms.

Candy, fruit, water, flip chart, pen, and notepad are always included.

The conference room “Hugo” is named after Hugo Blomsterberg. Hugo was a cabinetmaker, furniture dealer, and property owner. He was also the grandfather and a great source of inspiration to the hotel’s owner, Henric Blomsterberg.
Henric Blomsterberg purchased the property and the adjoining hotel in 2018, and after a major renovation, the hotel reopened in 2019.

Ellis

One of our medium-sized conference rooms, offering great potential and flexibility. Large windows provide wonderful natural light for alert and engaging meetings!

The name “Ellis” comes from the well-known actor Karl Elis Ludvig Ellis, who was one of the first to portray the character “Sten Stensson Stéen.” He appeared in two films and is said to have performed the role on stage thousands of times.

Wigforss

Wigforss is one of our medium-sized conference rooms, featuring large windows and the possibility to open sliding doors to both Ellis and Poppe.
Candy, fruit, water, flip chart, pen, and notepad are always included.

The name “Wigforss” comes from the creator of the character “Sten Stensson Stéen,” John Wigforss. He was a Swedish journalist and author, and it is said that he based the character on a real person – although the identity of that person has never been revealed.

Here you have a venue with large windows along the entire long side, providing fantastic natural light and allowing for several different seating arrangements.

The name “Poppe” comes from the well-known actor Nils Einar Poppe. In 1945, Nils Poppe took on the role of “Sten Stensson Stéen.” He appeared in four films and performed two plays at the Fredriksdal Theatre as the character, and he is the one most people associate with the role.

Sten Stensson Stéen

A large venue where we open up the partition walls between Ellis, Wigforss, and Poppe. With fantastic natural light, it offers great opportunities for large and inspiring meetings.

The name “Sten Stensson Stéen” is the hotel’s former name and originates from the classic character of the same name. The figure was created by author John Wigforss and has been portrayed by several actors over the years, including Karl Elis Ludvig Ellis and Nils Poppe. The character is a comical yet educational academic from Lund, famous for his proud demeanor and distinctive way of speaking. He has become a cultural icon in southern Sweden, beloved for generations through both theatre and film.
